Recognized for its workwear and rugged aesthetics, Carhartt blends perfectly with how Converse builds their sneakers. Hence, a new collaboration was born! Carhartt WIP turns towards a new direction with Converse as they remake the classic One Star silhouette into an increasingly premium overhaul; with its revamped canvas uppers through the use of the ever-reliable Cordura fabric, the poor weather-friendly pair will be released in three colorways: military olive green, clean black, and stark white.
The working label kept durability in mind as they incorporate Cordura fabric into their finely crafted selection; it is known to be a long-lasting textile mixed with nylon, cotton, and other materials for strength and comfort – making it truly durable! The Carhartt branding can be spotted on the One Star’s tongue and the insole, while the signature Cordura tag is partially concealed by the side of the tongue, nearing the ankle collar. A subtle nod to Carhartt’s roots in Detroit can be spotted on the label as well, displaying its area code of 313.
One Stars normally fit a size bigger. We recommend to take a full size down from your regular size. The pairs are expected to launch on September 20th – be sure to keep an eye out if you’d really want a pair. Let us know once you’ve copped through our hashtags #shoephoric and #shoutfit.
