The Chuck Taylor 70 is a shoe that fits people from all walks of life. From your typical geek, to the punk dude, to the old school rapper, down to your baggy pants wearing, Deftones-worshipping buddy. Even fashionistas can't deny its staying power.
Basically, the last of the OFF-WHITE X Nike "The Ten Collection" do we think this holds the same impact as the first pairs out?
This may technically not be a swoosh-laden shoe but the detailing and the deconstructed appeal works so much in favor of this legendary shoe.
What was originally a low profile shoe gets a nice modern twist graced by the hands of Off-White founder, Virgil Abloh. The shoe is given a new form and life with its strong industrial design appeal.
“VULCANIZED” lettering comes printed on the midsole referring to the rubber coated method that the shoe is known for. The transluscent material goes across the uppers with the Converse print. The word "SHOELACES" states the obvious.
Overall, we are looking at this as an extra special shoe because it serves as the wild card in the collection. Sizing wise, we are speculating it will run big like all Converse Chucks.
Of course, the red tag/cable finishes off the look. We prefer to keep it on.
Convinced already? Do what you can to get one. As simple as the shoe is, it's of legendary proportions and a must if you are a fan of Virgil Abloh and OFF-WHITE.
Speaking of Mr. Abloh, you may want to read this little tribute to the man.
