Both Vans and Metallica epitomize longevity in both their cluttered scenes. They embody iconic status that resonate with individuals from all walks of life which make them more appealing. Coming off from a collaboration they did a few years ago, the team up needed an updated look for 2018. What a year for sneakers and metal it is.
This time bringing forth a capsule collection of footwear, apparel and accessories, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Famers have proven time and time again that they are indeed worthy of crossover branding efforts.
Featuring the newly revamped 'Tallica logo for an attitude-driven verion of Vans classic silhouettes, the logo wraps around the Sk8-Hi in leather jacket regalia, the Slip-Ons feature the logo running across the toebox for a cohesive effect. The Metallica logo is engraved on the midsoles which is a nice touch. Topping off the capsule collection is a blacked out shirt and a trucker cap. Simple yet effective and fit for the next spin of classic Metallica tunes... better yet an actual Metallica show!
Availability this February 16 at Vans retailers, online and the Metallica website, you should be metal thrashin' mad to get one.
