The street culture in the Philippines is constantly booming. And with all the happenings, it’s great to see events that bring it all together for your convenience and total enjoyment.
SM City North EDSA curated the Urban Street Market, a one of kind event to add some street edge to your shopping experience.
It runs the gamut of streetwear fashion, music, and arts. The elements we love the most.
The Urban Street Market offers a full range of the most favored urban brands, each boasting their most sought after merch with special discounts and freebies. You’ll find fresh kicks by the day from Capital PH with an accompanying all-FREE Clyde sneaker spa, so you can pamper your much-loved pairs with absolutely no purchase requirements.
The selection of brands has everything to guarantee you’ll walk out with a completely new look from head to toe.
Starting off with the shoes and apparels, other brands in the lineup are Dr. Martens, DC Shoes, The North Face, Quiksilver, and Roxy; for accessories, you can choose from New Era Cap, Herschel Supply Co., and Digital Walker.
Lastly, for a fresh do for the New Year, you can make a pit stop at the sauvé pop-up barber shop of Macho Mucho.
To seal the deal, every weekend for a whole month, you get a dose of street culture bliss. Here’s what went down at the Urban Street Market.
Graffiti artists, Zachary Jamir, Maia Farao Gallego, Syd and Neat showcased their free hand artistry. Their signature work art unfolded in front of our eyes with fine details that’ll give you a whole new appreciation for this underground art form.
The second installment of the first custom sneaker workshop in the Philippines happened at the Urban Street Market! James Dycoco of I.E.D. Customs shared his tricks of the trade. All slots were taken and the workshop flowed with creativity with both professional artists and novices learning first hand to redesign shoes. The attendees all went home content with their new found skills and a handful of goodies and prizes. Congrats to the winner of the Nike Toki Slip Canvas from Capital PH!
Beat Project Manila
Pushing the beats was live spins from Beat Project Manila. Series of DJs, including Travis Monsod, gave a load down of the most lit sounds for all the events.
Hip Hop Showdown
For the culminating night, the famed LGAC.ph and TPM brought in a crowd with a hip-hop showdown.
Fingers crossed! We do hope Urban Street Market would serve as the first for many more to come. Don't miss out, as events like this need your support, the culture is making its initiative so do your part and be there!
