Jerry Lorenzo has been known for reappropriating band shirts and merchandise to push his own brand Fear Of God. Already a household name among the most stylish and trendy, his first collabs with Vans were already hits. So this next collection was a surefire burner when they dropped just this month.
But this one takes the cake for being the last on anyone's list. Looking very far from the red and white Era's that everyone wanted, these Mountain Editions were pretty much left out of the competition... but let us look at them further.
Reminiscent of the Half Cabs with a higher profile and a strap to match, this one is full on details coming in with the Fear Of God branding all over the shoes in black and white, it's the red that does its job effectively in suede. Frankly, the materials are the same you'd see in a general release but it's the logo that does the magic here. Part heavy metal, part street, it truly meets the high cut orientation of the shoe.
Much easier to cop than its low cut brothers, we suggest to give this monster a try. Recommended.
By the way, have you seen Pharrell's Chanel collab with adidas? They are nuts!
