From New York to Manila.
Product Of New York gets down in collaborating with the local scene. This movement is breaking new grounds with the young generation per country! For the Philippines, PONY launched a capsule collection with our once featured shoephoric, Don’t Blame The Kids.
This release marks a huge turning point for both brands. DBTK has proven to be one of the most sought after local streetwear brands, while PONY makes history once again with their first ever Filipino collaboration.
“Our collaboration with PONY will not only allow us to showcase Filipino ingenuity and creativity on an international scale, but at the same time show the world, especially the youth, how dreams can materialize if you work hard for them”, says Vince Javier, co-founder and creative director behind Don’t Blame The Kids.
Don’t Blame The Kids X PONY capsule collection come in two iconic silhouettes, the City Wings and Shooters. The City Wings ’85 (Php 5795) features black premium suede and leather uppers. For contrast, the PONY chevron and midsoles pop out in white. While branding was tastefully crafted on the insoles, tongue and embossed on the heel tab.
Shooter ’78 (Php 4390) comes in full buttery suede uppers with perforated chevron. Its attitude comes from the branding on the tongue, and DBTK’s cartoon logo on the back. Both pairs come with custom chain hangs, and exclusive shoe boxes featuring the cityscapes of New York and Manila that pays homage to the brand’s birthplace.
If you missed out the pre-selling don’t fret! The official launch will be tomorrow, November 18 at Dulo Mnl, Makati City, from 4 PM to 10 PM. Better be there early! The DBTK X PONY comes in very limited quantities… 100 slots to be exact!
