This is definitely history in the making. Nike presents a skate shoe designed specifically for women.
“I used to look up how to modify my shoes online so I could make them fit better,” says Lacey Baker, Nike SB pro skateboarder. “I would put frozen plastic bags inside my shoes or spray them with water to stretch them out and make them feel like they were better molded to my feet.”
Now, her prayers are answered as the Nike SB Bruin High needs no mods or alterations at all as they are built for a woman’s foot without compromising its overall vibe and look.
“The most important thing for me in footwear is a balance of durability, board feel, snugness and support,” Baker went on to add. “If it’s a perfect balance, then I feel the most connected to my skateboard.”
The shoe features a sculpted fit, shallow forefoot, tapered heel, tri-star pattern on foot bed for a decreased weight and added flexibility.
Speaking of skate shoes, this Valentino Fly Crew sneaker is pretty challenging to rock.
