New Balance and Stance made an epic move by doing their first ever collaboration. Dubbed as “First Of All”, the two pair pack runs deep in the brand’s heritage. Each pair was detailed in perfection to represent their home grounds. So here’s the scoop.
New Balance x Stance 1978
Inspired by the picturesque beaches of San Clemente, California, where the Stance’s headquarters are, the NB 1978 silhouette features a cool colorway of tan, slate blue, and navy. Its sleek style was topped up with two-tone dipped laces and textured perforated uppers and side panels.
On its technical side, its Vibram GCEVA midsole and outsole offer optimum comfort in every step.
New Balance x Stance 997
The 997 pays tribute to the famed brownstone architecture of the New Balance Boston headquarters. Predominantly rose copper and tan, the New Balance x Stance 997 boast fine detailing including a reflective underlay and a cobblestone deboss on its collar and forefoot. Laces are also kept in theme with its two-tone dipped treatment.
Much thought was put into this collaboration. To complete the package both shoes come with graphical insoles that bear coordinates of their respective HQs as well as made-in-USA sock that has matching coordinates on its inside cuff.
If you’re looking for a great all around shoe the New Balance 247 Sport Out is something to look at.
