Supreme is taking the rounds with their collaborations. Just today, the New York streetwear announced their surprise collaboration with Dr.Martens.
The surprise doesn’t end there. When we heard that the skate/hip hop brand teamed up with the British footwear, we were expecting some seriously remastered 90’s grunge boots. We were wrong. A complete opposite to the loud Supreme X Vans pack, the upcoming collection takes a surprisingly sophisticated approach.
Supreme rendition the classic Dr. Martens Rousden Creeper in jet black soles with solid colored uppers of pink, white, black and olive. The monk strapped Rousden Creepers are usually all leather with brogue like perforations, but for the Supreme collab, it takes a soft suede construction with quilted vamp uppers.
The branding of the two was kept subtle with debossments by the heel and insole prints. Expect the Supreme X Dr. Martens 2017 Spring/Summer Collection to drop this April 6 exclusively in Supreme’s stores in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Paris, as well as supremenewyork.com. Japan release will follow on April 8.
