Last January adidas Consortium kicked off their Sneaker Exchange project, a yearlong series featuring collab releases from 84 retailers. Up next in their lineup is the collaboration with KITH and women’s sneaker boutique NAKED.
The duo teamed up with the Three Stripes to reveal the re-imagined NMD. Set to drop next month, the KITH x NAKED x adidas NMD CS2 takes a feminine approach with a lace-less Primeknit upper in “sandstone” and “pink” colorways then finished off with a sock like overlapping collar. Unlike the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit, its signature Boost gets a unique update with a medial pod and lateral grooved stripe detailing.
As a mark for a collab design, the shoe tabs and leather insoles of alternate pair showcase the co-branded logos. Overall, the NMD CS2 is what Kith founder Ronnie Fieg calls the “Transatlantic Project.”
NMD CS2 was made for those searching for an ultra comfy yet modern silhouette, for both men and women alike. Set to retail at USD 210 this March 4 online and in-store at KITH and NAKED. General release will follow on March 11.
